AT&T Revises Throttling Policy to Begin at 3GB

Congratulations everyone on a victory in the AT&T unlimited data plans throttling debacle. Today AT&T revised their throttling policy so that no unlimited plan will be throttled until 3GB of data is reached. This is a big improvement from the throttling that was starting in the 1.5 – 2GB range. Many are still not satisfied that there’s throttling at all, considering we signed up for and renewed our contracts with AT&T under the understanding that unlimited plans were truly unlimited. I for one am temporarily satisfied with AT&T’s revised policy. I doubt I’ll ever renew with AT&T due to their handling of this situation, but I can at least use my phone like I used to without the fear of running out of data 2-3 weeks into the billing cycle and don’t feel as ripped off by paying the same amount as people on the 3GB plan while not being able to use as much data. Thanks to everyone who made some noise on this issue and to Matt Spaccarelli for filing and winning a small claims case against AT&T because of the throttling.
