The iPad has received mixed reactions and lots of hardcore techies were expecting Steve Jobs to introduce a real touch-based laptop replacement. That day isn’t here yet and while the iPad will be a fantastic device, it’s inevitable that one day Apple will introduce a touch based portable computer that more closely resembles the features of a Macbook Pro;sometime after that, traditional laptops will likely become more niche rather than the norm much like desktops are today.
